In the comments below the pattern they have instructions for a larger bag. I totally see this going to the beach, it would allow the sand to fall out of all the toys and would dry so quickly in the acrylic yarn!

Ready to Smock Feb 2012

Been a long time since I've done any of these ready to smock dresses, but I sure enjoyed it! This is for a client and is a size 2T bishop -- this was a nice break from grading math papers!

My Daughter's creations

My oldest daughter is 10 and she made the hat and scarf for a doll, my youngest daughter is 7 and made this pretty rainbow baby blanket! I am so proud of them!

Another baby version, just switch from an I hook to a G hook and it goes from adult sized to infant!

Purple & Gold flower hat

This is my cousin's school colors at Holland-Patent, NY. She's going to be so cute running cross country in her new hat! I made this one last night while watching the dumbest movie of one liners I've ever watched...The Other Guys...at least I got a hat finished so I didn't waste that hour and half of my life!

Baby Shower Gift

This is a baby shower gift for a friend who has a "hunting" family. I think they will be so cute with coordinating daddy, mommy, and baby hats!

I took off a few rows, went to a smaller hook (G instead of I) and baby yarn and here's my first "baby" cap with flower. I think it is adorable!

Tissue pocket packs - AGAIN!

Ashley and Amy each made 12 different pocket pack savers for their teachers, sunday school teachers, bus drivers, and other adults they know...each is stuffed with a pocket pack and is waiting to be chosen!

Baby "Baskets"

I used this pattern to make these baby baskets (I just added a handle). You can even throw them in the wash so baby can play with them too! I thought they would be a cute way to organize all the little stuff you need when you have a little one around. I have two baby showers this Sunday so I made one for each baby. I think they will LOVE them.

Little Totes

The girls decided to design little purses while I made their latest garments. They are fully lined with white inside and have a little pocket inside too. Their "pattern" was a piece of paper from the printer then they just folded it in half to make the purses...too cute!

New Shirt - McCalls 5798

This is for my elder daughter -- she is getting too big for dresses all the time -- this is a shirt from pattern McCalls 5798 (size 10) made a little longer than the pattern calls for and a ruffle added, too. I wonder why they can't just make patterns longer these days...nobody wears a shirt that cuts off at their waist anymore! She picked everything out herself.

Reclaimed Fabric - Floral Dress - Simplicity 3902

My daughter feels so pretty in her new dress...made from old drapes in my mother's house! Pattern is Simplicity 3902 - pretty easy pattern and has almost no gathering...form fitting and very flattering on the body. I always add some length to this pattern as my girls don't like dresses shorter than their knees.

Bonnets

No pattern -- just copied an old hand me down one -- just a big circle and a streched half moon -- made both in about 2 hours. I bet they wear them every day as they are now into playing "Laura and Mary" from the little house on the prairie books.

American Girl Bikinis (Crochet)

My eldest daughter made the mostly purple ones, my youngest made the white set trimmed in blue, and I made the white set trimmed in purple. The little crochet flower is my favorite part. We made up the bottoms, and the tops are an alteration of the halter top pattern we've made before.
