Our baby chicks aren't ready to lay eggs yet, but a friend dropped off 6 full grown laying hens so we now have eggs -- 3 the first day and three yesterday -- so here is a photo of our first three eggs! and the coop, which is a little further along now.

I can't wait to make a sour cream pound cake with those eggs. They are supposed to taste richer after they are a day or two old. (I have been reading up on eggs too!)
